About the role

We wish you to have a deep understanding of the grid (distribution and transmission) procedures in the development of PV and/or Wind projects in Italy, bringing and growing your expertise and talent to nourish our team approach with the grid connections. 

 

We need you to have a previous relevant experience in a development company, an IPP, a consultancy firm or a grid operator. We wish you to embrace with enthusiasm and curiosity the knowledge from other renewable energy experts across the company and beyond. We envisage you to have a committed, open-minded and problem-solving mindset with a strong willingness to learn and have new experiences, and consider communication and relationship management as powerful tools to reach your goal.

As a Senior Grid Manager, you will proactively support Queequeg Renewables wind, solar and BESS development in Italy, focusing on the team targets. 

Role responsibilities

  • Liaising with e-distribuzione S.p.A. and Terna S.p.A. for the Italian wind, storage and solar pipeline, providing a first front lists of activities; 
  • Asses risk and economics of the grid offers; 
  • Liaising with sub-contractor activities and deliverables; 
  • Communication with relevant stakeholders (DNO, TSO and internal teams) 
  • Make sure deliverables are correctly developed and dispatched; 
  • Review timetables and deadlines with administrative and management team

Experience/knowledge

We are looking for initial professional expertise in the following areas:  

  • Grid – Proven, deep understanding of ‘greenfield’ development process for grid connected assets. 
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian grid code 
  • Minimum three years of experience. 

 

  • Energy Markets – Knowledge of the electricity market in Italy, including but not limited to interaction with grid operators (TSO and distribution companies), knowledge of the Italian regulatory framework and development roadmaps.  
  • Minimum one year of experience.
