Daniele is the co-founder and Managing Director of Queequeg Renewables. He has been involved in renewable energy since late 2006 and has been actively in the industry ever since.

Queequeg’s co-founders Daniele Stiglitz and Gabriella Palla bring almost two decades of development experience each, where they have delivered significant wind, solar and biomass projects with numerous partners. They each bring very different yet complementary personalities and ways of operating, and a combined vision and focus to the leadership team.

Quote

“To paraphrase Bob Dylan: life isn’t about finding yourself, or finding anything, life is about creating yourself, and creating things. This is my mantra and something I constantly remind the team about: we are in the business of constantly creating opportunities for better energy.”
Daniele Stiglitz
Q

Tell us about your role at Queequeg?

A
I have always been passionate about energy independency, and the micro-diffused generation of renewable energy. Essentially, how renewable energy can get to you independently of the traditional big energy producers. Which is essentially why we created Queequeg. We first started out in Italy, and then, for numerous personal and professional reasons, we expanded into the UK.
Q

What has been your biggest achievement to date at Queequeg?

A
Well, I would like to say that where the company is at right now is my biggest achievement.
Q

What aspects of your personality make you a good leader?

A
Oh no! I can’t answer that. I am the worst person to answer this question. So, I think I will decline to comment… However, what I will say is that Gabriella and I work incredibly well together. She is more operational, and I am more strategic and forward-thinking. I plan ahead, while she has her feet firmly on the ground.
